Community Builders: The Riordan Families of Flagstaff
- In 1884, Matt Riordan take over the largest lumber co.
in the region. His two younger brothers followed The
mill produced ponderosa pine products: lumber, railroad
ties, mining timbers, fruit packing boxes, etc. They
were successful and took leading roles in Flagstaff's
development of a strong infrastructure. The younger
brothers' home remains to tell their story, preserved as
an historic house museum it provides opportunity for
future generations to experience a small part of the
